The Taste of Empires by Eveline

Eveline has been a hotel manager in Istanbul for several years and gives Turkish cooking courses with her chef Feyzi who is from Bolu; a western Black Sea city in Turkey famous for its chefs. Eveline is from Netherlands and holds a Hotel Management degree (she ran the Sarnic Hotel in Istanbul for 7 years) and has a Cordon Bleu chef’s diploma. The tour started with shopping at Makro Nisantasi and then continued by various forms of public transport to Eminonu to hunt for food items at the Egyptian/Spice Bazar. The participants created a 3 course Turkish meal in a professional kitchen with the guidance of Eveline and Feyzi. Of  course, when the cooking was finished everyone ate their own food and drank Turkish wines. It was easy to make friends when trying to manage filling dolma’s together!
