Belgium food festival

Belgium food festival ‘De Week van de Smaak’ in Vlaanderen deals with all aspects of taste and food culture. The ‘Week van de Smaak’ team is part of Faro, ‘Vlaams steunpunt voor cultureel erfgoed’. Over a thousand big and small events are organized every year. Coordination is done. In 2009 the 4th edition is organized in Leuven and Turkey is the theme country this year. I provide their team input on:
- artist initiatives that can make a project on food culture like the Virtual Chef project of Caravansarai;
- Belgium theater makers that collaborate with Turkish artists;
- Turkish producers of glass and kitchenware that can be contacted for sponsoring products as promotional activity;

- Differences between Ottoman and present day Turkish food;

- Turkish cheese producers;
- Ecologic production in Turkey and Turkish slow food
- Writes and magazines about food
- People in Turkey that give Turkish cooking classes;

- Raki brands and organizing a raki tasting.
